Tea and Zen One Flavour October 5th, 2013. Part of The Festival of Ideas, this collaboration between the Melbourne Zen Centre, Melbourne University and Ueda Soko Ryu Japanese tea ceremony school created a beautiful experience of sitting and walking meditation in the Sidney Myer Centre for Asian Studies garden. While Ueda Soko school served Japanese matcha tea, I brewed Chinese tea Gong Fu style in a mindful tea offering to the participants.

As part of the Australasian Specialty Tea Association founding committee, I was very excited to be running the Melbourne Tea and Flavour event on September 22, 2013. We started the afternoon with tea cocktails, moved on to a blind tea tasting challenge and then enjoyed some incredible matches of cheese and tea pairing.
